Sound Particles has announced the release of a new waveshaper plugin aimed at delivering creative distortions designed to give music and post-production professionals interesting results, in a very simple and straightforward way.
inShaper features both Single and Dual modes, allowing users to work with a single shaping curve for controlled distortion, or blend two curves for richer harmonics and more complex textures. The modifier mix can be modulated in real time, enabling smooth morphing between curves and constantly evolving results.
An integrated LFO system lets users modulate key parameters such as drive, gain, bias, or modifier mix, with multiple waveforms, DAW sync, and channel offset options. This makes inShaper especially powerful for creating rhythmic distortion.
“At its core, inShaper is a tool that encourages experimentation while still fitting naturally into professional production workflows,” said Nuno Fonseca, founder / CEO of Sound Particles.
inShaper features
- Dual-Waveform Engine: Choose one curve or blend two for fuller, more dynamic distortion textures.
- 65+ Curves: Explore everything from subtle waveshaping to aggressive wave folding.
- Drive Linked to Gain: Add character, warmth, or punch while keeping output levels consistent by linking drive to gain.
- LFO Modulation & Curve Control: Bring your distortion to life: modulate drive, bias, gain, or the modifier and keep it musical with endless LFO modulations.
- Work with Space: Get interesting effects by applying different LFO offsets to each speaker.
- Multichannel Support: From mono, stereo, surround or immersive formats — your sound plays everywhere.
inShaper for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and AAX) is available for the intro price of $49 USD until February 23rd, 2026 (regular $69 USD). The offer is available at Plugin Boutique and from the Sound Particles store.
