Spektralisk has announced the release of a new soundset for the Kontrast wavetable synthesizer by Dawesome.
Featuring 50 presets built around rhythmic imbalance, Asymmetry delivers polymetric sequences, uneven pulse structures, micro-shifted accents, glitched percussion, and cinematic motion that never quite resolves where expected.
The pack leans into the space between grid-locked rhythm and organic drift. Some presets move like broken machines. Others behave like percussion systems that keep changing their weight, timing, and internal pressure while still staying playable inside a cue.
Asymmetery is available from the Dawesome Music store for $25 USD for a limited time (regular $29 USD).
Also available is a new desktop toolkit for processing and organizing audio samples. Samplework allows users to specify a folder of samples and an output folder, and the app reads the filenames to detect pitch, builds a key map, and writes SFZ instrument files.
It covers a range of mapping strategies: pitch-aware key mapping, round-robin and palette-based variation, temporal slice mapping, and more. Mappings can draw from a single sample set or combine multiple packs. Seeded randomization keeps variant outputs repeatable.
