Spektralisk has announced an update to its soundset for the Massive X software synthesizer from Native Instruments.
The 2026 edition unifies the previously available Standard and Extended versions of Vulcan into single pack, and expands it with 43 new presets focused on trailer percussion, derivatives, and fresh designs that stay true to the original character.
Vulcan is a dark, high-energy preset collection for Native Instruments Massive X built around power, tension, and controlled intensity. Aggressive synthesis, heavy modulation, bold tonal movement — with enough controlled contrast to handle pacing and tension shifts without losing momentum.
The soundset now contains a total of 300 presets, and the update also comes with an Ableton Live project built in collaboration with Eric Wiesler, constructed entirely from Vulcan sounds, from sound selection through arrangement and mix.
