Splice has recently announced a new LABS series drop for its recently launched Splice INSTRUMENT. Two vintage synth presets are available for free for a limited time.
This month’s drop includes two presets for Star Coda, a synth created in collaboration with composer Jetdark. Together, we captured a selection of analog synths, and then pushed them into new sonic territory with glitchy, stuttered processing and layered effects chains.
The result is a collection of eerie, unstable tones built for, but absolutely not limited to, modern video game scoring. Every sound is sculpted to feel slightly off-centre, slightly broken, and full of atmosphere.
The presets are available from the ‘Drop’ icon in the top-right corner of the INSTRUMENT plugin.
