Stagecraft Software has recently released an effect plugin which lets users create their own scratch routines without needing physical turntables. DropZone is on sale at an introductory 70% discount at Plugin Boutique for the next few days.
Precisely control the virtual turntable’s position and fade to create a number of different scratch patterns, like two-click flares or crabs. DropZone is based on the same architecture as Scratch Track, so scratches sound realistic.
Load up to five samples at once, and set cue points so your scratches hit at exactly the right moment in the audio. The waveform preview on the right will show where in the waveform you’re scratching so you always know where you’re at.
Set up ten different combinations of samples, cue points, scratches, and fades to quickly use at the click of a button. Plus, you can save those ten combinations as a single preset to come back to later.
Available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows and macOS, DropZone is on sale for $29 USD until May 9th, 2026.
