The Bob Moog Foundation has announced a fundraising raffle for a brand new Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D, serial number 001 of a limited run of 500, valued at $3,999 USD.
The Model D is widely regarded as one of the most iconic synthesizers of all time, and this Tribute Edition series celebrates Bob Moog’s enduring legacy and impact on electronic music. The instrument’s cabinetry is crafted from unique quartersawn white oak wood, and two back-panel logo decals of Moog Music and the Bob Moog Foundation grace the back of the synthesizer. A Minimoog SR Series travel case is included.
Raffle tickets are $25 USD each, $100 USD for 5, $200 USD for 12, and $500 USD for 35. Open internationally, the raffle ends 11:59 pm EST Monday, June 8th, 2026..
All proceeds benefit the projects of the Bob Moog Foundation.
Released on April 14th, 2026, the Bob Moog Tribute Edition (BMTE) Minimoog was designed by Moog Music, Inc. as an homage to the pioneering efforts of the company’s namesake. To help preserve that legacy, Moog Music donated $500 USD to the Bob Moog Foundation for each unit sold.
“The first groundbreaking Minimoog was shipped in November of 1970, and its lineage has endured for the past 56 years,” noted Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation. “We are excited to offer serial number one of the Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D while celebrating Bob Moog’s indelible impact on music and synthesis.”
Robert “Bob” Moog (1934 – 2005) was an American engineer and pioneer whose innovations transformed sound across musical genres, earning him the Polar Music Prize in 2001 and a Technical Grammy Award in 2002, among a long list of other awards. Moog revolutionized electronic music by inventing the first commercial voltage-controlled synthesizer modules in 1964.
