The Crow Hill Company has recently launched a groundbreaking drum library designed in collaboration with Snakes Of Russia, the Los Angeles-based artist and producer Joseph Holiday.
The innovative Venom toolkit allows users to craft custom drum parts without relying on loops or pre-recorded rhythms, offering a fresh approach to beat-making. It was crafted using fully analog sources, including iconic synthesizers like the Minimoog Model D, Korg MS-20, and Roland Juno 106, blended with acoustic drums and processed through analog effect units.
The first time us composers here at The Hill have used a drum library that makes us sound like badass programmers in an instant. Snakes’ has taken techniques honed over decades to present a tool kit like no other.
Create drum parts tailored to your music without the need for loops or pre-performed rhythms. The environment we have designed is a meeting of minds who agree that creativity shouldn’t be stifled or stymied by prescription.
Through experimentation and exploration Venom will take your music down a much darker road. You won’t know what you have done, or how you have done it. But you’ll be glad you have.
Available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, Venom is on sale for the intro price of £79 GBP until April 30th, 2025 (regular £99 GBP).
