The Drum Broker has introduced a new sample pack from Tamuz. A collection of J Dilla-inspired drum breaks and shots, The Tribute Vol. 5 brings the sounds of real drums, real rooms, real saturation, and a deep respect for the sound and spirit that continues to inspire generations.
The Tribute Vol. 5 is the fifth chapter in what has quietly become an annual release every February, landing around the birthday weekend of one of the greatest to ever do it. What started as a simple tribute has grown into one of the most requested series on the site, built around feel, intention, and respect for the craft. This volume is also one of the last packs recorded in Tamuz’s Brooklyn, New York studio.
Every sound was captured using vintage acoustic drum kits, classic microphones, and real tape machines, all with the goal of translating drum machine inspired ideas through a drummer’s hands. Loose pockets, natural push and pull, and the kind of swing that only comes from touch.
On sale for the intro price of $15 USD (regular $30 USD), the royalty free sample pack contains a total of 189 drum breaks, 201 drum one shots, 40 hat loops, and 27 percussion loops.
