The Him DSP has announced updates to the Kick Ninja versatile, synthesis-focused kick drum plugin and Sub Ninja advanced sub-bass and kick visualizer.
Changes in Kick Ninja v1.4
- Flexible 8-band EQ in the FX section — for that final bit of sauce on your kicks.
- Limiter at the end of the chain — character in aggressive modes, control in gentle ones. Leave gain at 0.0 and limiter output at -0.1 dB (the defaults) and your kicks export fully limited, ready to go.
- Main gain envelope — sits after the EQ, before the limiter, and shapes all layers as a whole for those last-minute tweaks.
- Custom library paths — point your library, sample browser and export folders anywhere on your machine (edit the .xml in your resources folder). Great for keeping projects portable across machines.
- Small fixes and tweaks.
Changes in Sub Ninja v1.3
- HUD display — Toggle a heads-up display on/off with shift or right-click, a handy one-handed gesture. Shows time and dB values, and click-drag to measure the difference between two points.
- Small fixes and tweaks (your scale is now stored plugin-wide).
