Sound design boutique company The Very Loud Indeed Co. has announced the release of a new sound library for the Omnisphere virtual instrument by Spectrasonics.
Omnisphere Mirai contains a collection of 120 new cinematic patches for Omnisphere 2.8. It includes 128 new sound sources which have been recorded and designed specifically for this soundset. It only uses these new sound sources and does not recycle the stock ones in Omnisphere or any other previous set from the company.
According to founder and sound designer Richie Nieto,
“Mirai is my most “synth-ey” soundset to date, drawing heavily from cyberpunk and retro electronica influences. The main difference when compared to normal synth presets is that it is completely sample-based and doesn’t use the oscillator waveforms from Omnisphere.”
“Instead, I created a large number of complex wavetables using many other synthesizers, combined them, and then used the resulting samples to create the sound sources for Mirai. This means that each patch is a true hybrid of several very different synths, which gives this collections a unique tonal richness.”
Omnisphere Mirai is available at the introductory price of $21 USD until February 26th, 2026 (regular $35 USD).
