The Very Loud Indeed Co. has announced the release of a new loop-based percussion Kontakt instrument focused on tickers. Slight: Hybrid Scoring Tickers features high-frequency range rhythmic patterns that help give movement to a piece of music, without getting in the way of lower-pitched instruments.
In popular music, instruments like hi-hats, shakers and tambourines are typically used to fulfill this role. In media scoring, they are typically used in action or tension scenes, and are great to spice up a cue in a subtle way.
Slight features
- 416 sound files (208 loops and 208 single hits) at 16-bit / 48 kHz resolution in a tiny 387 MB footprint.
- Highly dynamic tempo-synced loops and single hits.
- Single hit versions of all the loops are easily accessible via the mod wheel (CC1), to be used as endings or as building blocks to create your own rhythms in your DAW.
- All sounds can be accessed with a 61-key (or larger) MIDI controller without touching the GUI or shifting octaves, by keyswitching sound banks.
- Clean GUI with quick visual confirmation of which Bank and which type of sound (loops or single hits) are currently active.
- All WAV files are included, so you can use them in your DAW or other samplers.
Available for the full version of Kontakt 6.8 or higher, Slight: Hybrid Scoring Tickers is on sale for the intro price of $29 USD until February 27th, 2025 (regular $49 USD).
