Thenatan has released a new audio plugin which runs multiple purpose-built processors at the same time, every one of them tuned for the 30-150Hz region where a sub bass actually lives.
8008 combines transient sculpting, sub-fundamental boost, eight saturation characters, one-knob dynamics, phase-perfect mono bass and a lo-fi character stage.
Imagine sharpening the click without touching the fundamental, lifting the note itself by 18dB, pushing it through one of eight saturation characters, gluing it with a compressor that physically cannot get the attack wrong, summing the lows to mono with no phase artefacts, dusting the whole thing with tape hiss that breathes with your playing, then catching it on a brickwall limiter – all in one pass, in one window, at zero latency.
8008 features
- Transient Designer, 808 Booster, Waveshaper, Compressor.
- Mono Bass, Legendary lo-fi stage, Brickwall Limiter.
- Every effect has its own Mix knob and its own bypass.
- A fixed, musically ordered chain – no routing decisions to make.
- One plugin in, a finished low end out.
Available for Windows and macOS (VST/VST3, AU), 8008 comes with 88 hand-tuned factory presets. The plugin is on sale for the intro price of $8.08 USD until September 29th, 2026 (regular $59.50 USD).
The offer is available at Plugin Boutique and from the Thenatan store.
