Plugin Boutique has introduced a new de-esser plugin featuring intelligent spectral detection.
Controlling harsh sibilance without dulling the air, Future DS identifies problematic high-frequency peaks in real time and applies targeted attenuation, leaving the surrounding spectrum intact.
Traditional de-essers trigger on level. Future DS reads the spectrum. Instead of asking, “Is this loud?”, Future DS asks, “Is this frequency spike unnatural in context?” It locates and attenuates narrowband energy that breaks the spectral envelope, leaving neighboring frequencies untouched. As a result, harshness is reduced without sacrificing air.
