Tone Projects has announced the release of a modern mastering limiter for Mac and Windows built for loudness, clarity, and musicality.
More than 2.5 years in the making, Uni-L was co-developed with British mastering engineer Bob Macc and field-tested by working mastering engineers for over a year. The result is a limiter that combines sophisticated adaptive algorithms with deep, precise control over every stage of the process.
At its core, Uni-L is a wideband limiter driven by multiband detection. By merging the tonal integrity of wideband limiting with responsive multiband detection, Uni-L achieves clean, natural loudness even at high gain. Its program-dependent lookahead and release allow Uni-L to adapt continuously to complex audio signals – all under your direction.
Dual-stage limiting and deeply integrated clipping can be precisely balanced, offering unique control over each stage’s contribution to overall gain reduction. Together with True Peak mode, advanced transient control, flexible stereo linking, and more, Uni-L enables you to handle any material and any requirement. Uni-L lets you go as loud as you need – but more importantly, it lets you keep the sonics pure and the music alive without ever losing creative control.
