Toontrack has announced the release of a new expansion for its EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 virtual instruments. Dry EZX features drums recorded in a small, low-ceilinged room with thick drapes lining the walls, delivering extra punch and an exceptionally dead sound.

Featuring four carefully curated kits, the Dry EZX spans a wide sonic range – from earthy and warm to snappy and slightly pingy. Recorded in a small, low-ceilinged room with thick drapes lining the walls, ambience was stripped down to an absolute minimum. The result is a collection of viscerally tight kits that sound as if you’re right there in the room – inches from the drums.
