Tracktion has announced the release of a new software synthesizer instrument which brings something new to wavetable synthesis.
Designed for speed and play, Dawesome Kontrast aims to inspire users with the twist of a knob. The synth features analog filters, deep modulation, expressive effects, MPE support, and world-class presets.
For over a decade, wavetable synths have been playing it safe. KONTRAST takes the other road. It doesn’t just scan a table — it lets you explore it. Sound becomes terrain, and every twist of the path reveals new colors, textures, and movement.
Forget lifeless, one-axis modulation. KONTRAST’s nonlinear scanning creates sounds that breathe and evolve in ways you’ve never heard before — from smooth and lush to chaotic and wild. It’s a radical departure that makes wavetables feel exciting again.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac, Kontrast is on sale for the intro price of $89 USD until October 26th, 2025 (regular $149 USD). A free demo version is available to try the synth.
The offer is available at the Tracktion store and from distributors Plugin Boutique and AudioDeluxe.
