- Powered by HoriZEN: Harness the engine’s full potential for unmatched depth and character.
The soundset is on sale for the intro price of $21 USD until January 16th, 2026 (regular $30 USD).
Additionally, Horizen has recently been updated to with new fx and note effects, a new strum player, and various workflow and UI improvements.
Changes in Horizen v2.7
- 7 All New FX – Explore and enjoy seven brand-new and inspiring FX including:
- StonerPhase: Inspired by the legendary hardware phaser.
- Rotary Speaker: Apply those classic rotating speaker effects famously associated with the Hammond Organ.
- Dark Drive: An all new approach to distortion, and you can never have too many of those.
- Assassin: Speaking of which, yet another flexible and cool distortion FX.
- Glimmer: A shimmering, warping reverb.
- ParaShift: A warping parametric eq.
- WarpVerb: Shifting otherworldly reverb spaces.
- New note effects – In each voices Note FX system we have added the following:
- Arp Manager: filter and transpose incoming Arp notes in a range of different ways within each voice. So now even if two voices are attached to the same Arp, you can modify and syncopate the played sounds.
- All new Mono Glide system: Now mono played voices “remember” your last note so you can have voices glide between any held notes – endlessly.
- New Strum Player – Assignable to individual voices, like the Arps, this new system offers you a flexible and powerful way to automate the playback of strummed notes. You can set:
- Play Mode: Define the playback order of notes in your set: note number order, as played or random.
- CC Controller: Define the CC Controller you want to use and how it triggers notes, upwards, downwards or both directions.
- Input: Either your live held notes, or a selected strum chord.
- Chord Shape: Define a specific strum chord, and use notes as they would be played on piano, guitar or harp.
- Workflow and UI Improvements – Further improvements to the workflow and display including:
- New Menuing systems for FX and Filters: As the options grow in these menus (and we have big plans for the filters) these menu systems now offer categories to speed access to the exact choice you want to make.
- Mute FX: A quicker way to reshape and audition your FX elements.
- Muted Voice Indicators: A simple and easy way to see which voices you have muted (we replace their name with an underscore), wherever you are in the interface.
- Load/Save Voice Profiles: A simple way to share any voice across your workflow, separate sampler, synth and lop profiles.
- Load/Save FX Chains: A simple way to share entire FX chains across your sounds.
- Import/Export Presets: Import and export presets on the Settings page, including v2.5 & 2.6 presets.
Horizen for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU) is on offer at a 30% discount during the introductory promotion ($89 USD), and Retro Legends is included for free with a purchase.
