SoundGym has announced Bass Detective, a new ear training game that was added to SoundGym’s audio ear training platform.

The game is designed to help users detect low frequencies so they can make more accurate decisions when shaping low-end while producing and mixing.

Peaking (Bell) EQ filter is being used to boost a certain frequency range from 50hz to 400hz. Players use the EQ on/off buttons to compare the equalized and non-equalized sounds and find the boosted frequency.

‘Bass Detective’ is the 16th sound game on SoundGym. It is a Pro game (available for SoundGym Pro members). ‘Bass Detective’ is open to SoundGym Free members for the weekend (until August 25th) to try out.

Basic membership to SoundGym is free. Pro membership unlocks the full training program, including more sound games, personalized audio workouts, focused training, premium sounds, and much more.

The Pro membership costs $24.95 USD/month or $119 USD/year.
