Transientik Labs has launched a new mastering and restoration plugin for Windows and macOS that takes direct aim at the black-box automation dominating the category.

Drop it on the master bus and it analyzes the full track (loudness, spectrum, stereo image, transients, safety risks), then builds a complete, destination-aware mastering chain. The difference: every single decision is logged and explained in plain language through DecisionTrace, a per-decision reasoning report that tells the user not just what was changed, but why.
“Automated mastering tools ask musicians to trust a result they can’t inspect,” said Giuliano Golfieri, founder of Transientik Labs. “Transientik Master is the opposite bet: 100% deterministic DSP, running locally, that shows its work like an engineer would. Alongside classic material, Transientik Master is the first mastering plugin explicitly designed for the wave of AI-generated and hybrid productions: dedicated DE-METALLIC processing targets the harsh upper-mid artifacts typical of AI-generated stems, while DE-MUD clears low-mid buildup with a single control. Eight destination presets (Streaming Loud, Streaming Safe, CD, Vinyl, DJ Set, Cinematic, Just Make It Loud) target the loudness and technical specs of each release context, and a full manual mode exposes the entire chain (dynamic EQ, multiband compression, stereo imaging, clipping, limiting) for engineers who want to drive.
