Tuva, the desktop application that helps music producers organize and discover their audio files, has released version 1.3.8, adding full project file support for Ableton Live and FL Studio.
The update lets producers browse their DAW projects, see which samples are used in each project, preview MIDI files and view the project structure, all directly in Tuva without opening the DAW.
For producers who remember samples by the projects they used them in, this creates a new and faster way to search.
“This feature alone has saved me so much time browsing through badly named projects,” said Alexander Garnett, co-founder and CEO of Tuva.
Tuva’s project support connects the dots between a producer’s sample library and their actual work. Rather than clicking through folders or opening projects one by one, producers can now identify projects not only by name but by the files used inside them. Combined with Tuva’s on-device AI tagging of 64 instruments, tempo detection and sound similarity search, this makes the app a single workspace for every file that turns ideas into music.
The feature was developed in close collaboration with top producers and songwriters in Stockholm, whose feedback shaped the workflow from the ground up. Tuva is already used by professional producers in the Stockholm music scene as part of their daily workflow.
All processing runs locally on the user’s machine with no internet connection required. Tuva remains DAW-agnostic as a standalone app, and project support for Logic Pro and additional DAW formats is next on the roadmap.
Tuva is available for €25 EUR. as a lifetime license, with a 14-day free trial. The app runs on both macOS and Windows.
