u-he has announced the release of the first public beta version of its highly anticipated Zebra 3 software synthesizer.
Built on decades of experience gained from developing Zebra2 but surpassing it in every way, Zebra 3 is packed with powerful new modules that take full advantage of Zebra’s renowned workflow. Those of you who have already experimented with Zebralette 3 should have an inkling of what to expect…
With its unique oscillator, modal resonator and other complex modules, Zebra 3 is certainly on the deeper side of synthesis. Dive in, discover, experiment—guided by the comprehensive user guide whenever necessary—you will soon find making sounds in Zebra 3 highly rewarding!
Zebra 3 is available for pre-order for €179 EUR (regular €249 EUR). The upgrade is free for owners of both Zebra 2 & The Dark Zebra licenses from before they became Zebra Legacy. Zebra 2 license owners can upgrade to Zebra 3 for €30 EUR from the My Licenses page in their account.
Additionally, u-he has officially released Zebralette 3.0, which is significantly more CPU-friendly then the beta. Version 3.0 can copy or save the oscillator settings so they can be moved into Zebra 3.
Zebralette 3 is a single oscillator plucked from the mothership and embedded within a minimal synth environment: ADSR envelope, MSEG, two LFOs, mod matrix, delay and reverb effects. Like its predecessor, Zebralette 3 is freeware.
Zebralette 3 is available to download in VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP plugin formats for Windows, Mac and Linux.
