u-he has introduced a new soundset for its Prophet 5 software synthesizer emulation. With the Blue Flamingo collection, Tel Aviv based sound designer KYHON is offering a sonic journey through 50+ years of psychedelia.
While many of the sounds are steeped in the warm, analogue vibes of the 1970s, there’s a distinct modern twist running throughout.
The collection comprises 350 sounds: 175 originals and 175 variants, all made for expressive performance via the modulation wheel and other realtime controls. While the numbered versions (1, 2, 3, etc.) may sound very similar at first listen, they respond in different ways depending on how you play them, as detailed in Repro-5’s Preset Info panel.
The soundset is available to purchase for 39 EUR.
