United Plugins has announced the release of a revolutionary new audio plugin developed in collaboration with SounDevice Digital.
Duoflux redefines modulation by moving beyond the limitations of single-processor plugins to a philosophy of dual-layer creativity, where two independent units work in harmony to elevate mixes and add depth to soundscapes.
Duoflux’s core innovation is its ability to split signals into four distinct modes. Unlike conventional modulation tools, Duoflux distributes the signal to two units based on a crossover set to Frequency, Volume, Stereo, or Mid/Side. This groundbreaking approach gives producers precise control over how effects interact with different elements of their mix, offering unparalleled flexibility.

- Four Ways to Split: The unique power of Duoflux lies in how it splits signals for separate processing. Users can choose between Frequency, Volume, Stereo, or Mid/Side crossovers to distribute audio to the two modulation units.
- Two Modulation Units: Duoflux features two independent units, offering precise control over distinct parameters such as Rate, Depth, Width, and Character, along with adjustable LFO Shapes ranging from sine to square.
- 17 Modulation Algorithms: Each unit offers a library of 17 meticulously crafted algorithms, including the lush width of Vintage Chorus, the swirling motion of Modern Rotary, or the rhythmic pulse of Tremolo and Phaser.
- Tape Saturation: Make the sound even more enjoyable by injecting vintage character. Each unit features a Tape section with controls for Saturation, Wow, Flutter, and Noise to simulate head scraping and dust.
- Mid/Side Processing: Focus on different parts of the audio file by splitting the signal into the centre (mid) and sides. Imagine applying a chorus to the sides while keeping the mid channel focused.
- Quiet/Loud Dynamics: Uniquely, Duoflux can split audio by loudness, allowing modulation processors to operate independently on quieter and louder parts of the audio—creating distinct movements for different dynamics.
