Unusable Engineering has announced an update to its Bézier shape driven mono synth for Windows and macOS.
The oscillator preset system of Curves & Membranes now stores and slews between much more than waveform shape, allowing a single sequence to move between Bézier and Node geometry, introduce or remove folding, change detune, and alter LFO modulation while the waveform itself is also changing.
A new auxiliary oscillator runs the same geometry as the main oscillator, so slow slot movement can make it drift in and out, while faster motion gets into much more textured territory.
The original Wave Bézier Preset system has been expanded and renamed Oscillator Presets. The eight slots now store much more of the oscillator state and can interpolate those settings using the existing Preset Slew system.

- Bézier to Node morphing stored independently in every slot.
- None, Clip and Fold modes stored per slot and affected by Preset Slew.
- New detuned auxiliary oscillator, with Detune stored per slot.

- Interpolation of all of these settings through Preset Slew.
- Copy and Paste for oscillator slots.
- Double-clicking nodes or handles to return them to the vertical center.
- Slot Freeze for editing an individual slot while sequencing continues.

- Oscillator-core optimization reduces the internal update rates where possible while retaining the visual and sonic response of the instrument.
