Renegade Audio has launched a new Totally Dubwise Recordings series sample pack featuring royalty-free live performances by professional reggae drummer Mikey Shaw.
Recorded at Dub Cavern Studio using vintage 1970’s valve and solid state equipment, Vintage Reggae Drums Vol. 2 is expertly produced, chopped, edited and relooped by Subtifuge.
Building on the foundation of Vol.1, this pack offers new takes on classic reggae styles spanning Rubadub, One Drop, Steppers, Rockers and Dancehall, all played with a mix of swung and straight feel. Once again captured through a range of vintage microphones on a 1974 Vintage Rogers USA drum kit, 1974 Ludwig Supraphonic snare, and 60’s Zildjian crash cymbals, these recordings deliver the warmth, texture and live feel of authentic vintage reggae sessions straight into your DAW.
