Vitric Audio has launched its plugin lineup built inside Studio 4, a working recording studio in Cleveland, Ohio. Developed and tested in real tracking and mixing sessions on the studio’s Avid Icon D-Command ES console, the collection currently spans ten effects and a software synth.
Each plugin in the line started as a fix for a problem this room actually has. Multibands whose crossovers refuse to sum back flat. Analyzers that smooth away the resonance they should expose. A rack of compressor plugins doing a job one honest unit should cover.
So the tools get built here and run here first. They sit in tracking chains and mix sessions before anyone can buy them, and what does not hold up does not ship. The interface renders on this site are the plugins’ own output, captured with live signal, because that is the only product photography we trust.
The following plugins are currently available:
- Bevel EQ: 24-band parametric equalizer with filter slopes to 96 dB/oct and per-band stereo placement.
- Caliper Compressor: Character compressor with four circuit behaviours (FET, Opto, Tube and Clean).
- Harmonic Multiband Compressor: 6-band multiband compressor built around a dual-stage saturation engine.
- Halo Reverb: Algorithmic reverb with eight spaces, each its own engine.
- Colonnade Delay: Dual-engine character delay staged on a real depth axis.
- Iron Summing: Console-style summing system.
- Burnish Vocal Chain: Lead-vocal chain with fully local reference analysis.
- Plinth Subharmonic Synthesizer: Phase-locked sub generator that shows what it found.
- Stoke Saturator: One-voice saturator with measured contracts.
- Chamfer De-Esser: De-esser with a level-tracked threshold and clickable esses.
- Kiln Synthesizer: Three-oscillator synthesizer with the Glass modal resonator and Anneal, which breeds patches toward a dropped sound.
Available for Windows and macOS in VST3, AU and AAX formats, the plugins are on sale at introductory prices from $25 USD for a limited time.
