W.A. Production has released a monophonic hybrid granular synthesizer developed in collaboration with Algebra Within and psytrance producer darkInteger.
Supra runs the signal through 6 sequential DSP stages, starting with an analog-drifted triangle-core oscillator and ending in a pitch-shifting feedback delay, aiming to bring back the unpredictable energy of hardware rather than a sterile preset-and-layer workflow.
A dual-macro modulation system drives sweeping parameter shifts across multiple stages at once from a single macro turn, and a dual randomizer system allows real-time, glitch-free patch variation.
With its unique synth architecture, SUPRA brings unusual performance possibilities to a monophonic synth. Signature sounds become more expressive and complex: sine drops, FM growls, heavenly bells, screeching sirens, chiptune warbles, ambient clouds, granular destruction and so much more. Whether youβre crafting sweeping atmospheric timbres from simple carrier tones, dialing in heavy bass snarls, or letting the randomizers take the wheel, SUPRA turns standard patch programming on its head.
