Waldorf Music has announced the release of an update to the operating system of its Quantum and Iridium synthesizers.
OS version 3.3.0 comes with various enhancements:
- MIDI 2.0 compatibility with high-resolution data support.
- Improved MPE polyphonic pitch-bend.
- Expanded favorite sets & authors.
- Release velocity as a modulation source.
- Additional macros and other refinements.
The update is available for all Quantum and Iridium variants, including Quantum (original & MK2), Iridium Desktop, Iridium Keyboard and Iridium Core. Users can find the new release in the “Hardware OS Updates” section of their “My Waldorf” account.
Additionally, Christian Gritzner’s new PPG Dreams soundset contains 100 patches inspired by the unique sounds and moods of the legendary PPG synthesizers.
Based on the PPG wavetables and with the use of the Iridium/Quantum filters and effects, it captures the dreamy, ambient moods of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, and more.
The soundset is available to purchase for €29 EUR.
