Isotonik Studios has introduced a Max for Live audio effect that fuses dual pitch shifting, recursive feedback, saturation, and delay into a modular-style processor for rich sound design and character effects.
Designed to create strange, beautiful, or broken sounds, Bokoodo by White Horse is inspired by 1970s sonic manipulation.
Inspired by the warped vocal treatments of classic sci-fi TV, Bokoodo gives you control over two independent pitch shifters — each operable in frequency or stepped-pitch mode — with comb-style timbral control via adjustable window sizes.
Route the result into a custom feedback loop with optional Tape or Tube saturation, add synced or free delay, filter the return, and shape your stereo image with upsampling and width control.
Whether you’re dialling in strange harmonics or pushing your audio into self-oscillating madness, Bokoodo is a creative playground for modulation-heavy producers and sound designers.
Available for Ableton Live 11 or higher (Suite or Standard with Max for Live installed), Bokooko is priced $22 USD.
