Windows-G has announced the release of a JSFX limiter plugin for the Reaper DAW. E-Limiter600 is suitable for track-level, mix-bus, and master-bus limiting without distortion artifacts or ceiling overshoot.
E-Limiter600 features a fixed 1 ms lookahead, stereo link control (0% to 100%) for independent or linked channel limiting, input gain (-40 dB to +40 dB) for driving the limiter, and a ceiling control (-100 dB to 0 dB) that sets the maximum output level. Shape the limiting envelope with exponential release (1 ms to 2000 ms) curve. When enabled, the DC Filter (1 Hz) removes DC offset after the limiting process to maintain a clean signal, while the Output Gain (-40 dB to +40 dB) controls the final output level to compensate for the slight peak increase introduced by the 1 Hz DC filter.
The GUI provides left/right input level meters with a ceiling line, left/right gain reduction meters showing up to -20 dB of GR, numerical readouts for current and maximum gain reduction per channel, and output level readouts that can be clicked to reset. A smooth bypass button toggles the limiting effect on or off without audio clicks, while a delta button solos the difference between wet and dry signals to reveal what the limiter removed from the main signal. Advanced interpolation ensures no zipper noise during slider automation or real-time adjustments, while the plugin operates with minimal CPU usage.
Available to purchase for $10 USD, the E-Limiter600 JSFX plugin can also be used in other DAWs through the open-source YSFX plugin, which is available in VST3, AU, and CLAP formats for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
