Wolf Cat Beats is built from the unique tones of the Akai Rhythm Wolf and Tom Cat drum machines. While these machines weren’t commercial hits when released in 2014–2015, they had something special—gritty analog power, retro charm, and loads of personality. I loved them instantly.
I went deep and created my own custom kits, sampling both clean analog hits and aggressively processed versions using real pedal distortion and fuzz. Everything—from the source to the processing—is fully analog.
