XTRMRAW has announced the launch of an old-school feedback distortion processor designed for aggressive sound design, heavy drums, bass destruction, industrial textures, and raw electronic music.
Built around the idea of classic hardware abuse, MXR4 uses four driven channel stages, 3-band tone shaping, noise, send routing, and controlled feedback to create unstable, saturated, hardware-like distortion.
The plugin follows a simple but powerful concept: push the signal through multiple gain stages, shape each stage with EQ, feed part of the signal back into the chain, and let the overdrive build naturally. The result is a raw, analog-inspired sound that can range from thick saturation to aggressive distortion, screaming feedback, broken bass drums, and brutal experimental textures.
MXR4 is especially effective on bass drums, basslines, synths, percussion loops, noise layers, and any source that needs more weight, damage, and attitude.
Available for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU), the plugin is priced €24 EUR.
