Alesis has announced Elevate 4 and Elevate 5S, two new powered studio monitors.
Recognizing the need for high-performance speakers that deliver concise, high-output sound to any recording/production scenario, the new Alesis Elevate monitors give users the ability to listen to and mix down recording studio sessions as well as edit multimedia content by accurately delivering deep bass and ultra-smooth high frequency response.
The Elevate 5S is a premium active 2-way studio monitor, suitable for the most critical applications. With drivers of the very highest quality (a 5¼-inch Kevlar® woofer and a neodymium-powered 1-inch silk dome tweeter), the Elevate 5S’s frequency response is smooth and authoritative over the full musical range. Much of its performance is due to its system-optimized bi-amplified design with active crossover, which sends 50 watts to both the LF and HF drivers, for a whopping total of 100 watts of power per speaker. The Elevate 5S is packaged and sold singly.
Elevate 5S features
- Balanced XLR+1/4″ combo input ensures versatile connection options.
- Custom elliptical waveguides for controlled dispersion and a widened sweet spot.
- High-density wood cabinet with dual bass porting for strong bass without clarity-robbing cabinet resonances.
The Elevate 4 is a 4-inch 2-way speaker, packaged and sold as a pair.
One speaker contains the 2-channel amplifier that powers both units. The amplifier itself is a powerful Class AB design, capable of 40 watts RMS total system output, more than enough to power the system to loud levels with inaudible distortion.
Elevate 4 features
- 4″ low-frequency driver, 1″ silk dome tweeter per speaker.
- Stereo ¼” balanced inputs; Stereo RCA unbalanced inputs.
- Custom elliptical waveguides for controlled dispersion and a widened sweet spot.
- Subwoofer output for use with an outboard powered subwoofer.
- 20-watt per channel with Class AB architecture.
