de la Mancha freq show

de la Mancha has released freq show, a free FSU effect plug-in for Windows PC.

freq show screws around with your audio and ouputs an unholy version of whatever you fed it.

The controls are simple: just click around and listen if you like what you’re hearing.

Note: If you’re on FL Studio 8 and having trouble with this plug-in, you can download an update from Image-Line to fix a bug in the VST wrapper.

Visit de la Mancha for more information and a link to download freq show.

Want to know what’s going on behind the scenes?

    de la Mancha explains:

freq show analyses the audio input and uses 2 audio oscillators to recreate it.
    - A and B are the oscillator waveforms.
    - mode is the method for modulation of A & B (sum, diff, ring mod, phase distort etc).
    - the xy pad controls how much modulation (mod) and the wet/dry mix (mix).

There, now you know what you’re doing!

Sometimes it’s better not to know and just have fun. :)
Just like f.e. pixelpop or crazyivan.

    So true!

That’s why I love plug-ins with sane randomize options. Ugo’s Element of Surprise is a good example. Pretty much no controls, just keep clicking on the light bulb until you hear something you like.

Not very useful if you’re looking for a particular sound, but lots of fun and inspirational otherwise.
