Ohm Force has announced the Ohmicide Dubstep Session Pack, a bundle of the Ohmicide plug-in and dubstep construction templates by partner Clicksound.
All of the construction templates for Ableton Live and Logic Pro within this pack are fully editable Dubstep templates, which allow you to have unrestricted control over any part of the template. You can change the speed, pitch and arrangement of any part such as the drums, basslines or synth leads…what ever suites your mood! They are completely customisable and contain the building blocks for your next Dubstep project. Within each construction template you will be able to see how all of the channels are created, how the sounds are layered and placed in to the arrangement pages and how the included side-chain compression is configured.
The templates also feature Native Instruments Massive and Spectrasonics Omnisphere and just in case you do not have these plug-ins installed each template includes bounced tracks for the third party plug-ins MIDI parts. This simply means that any MIDI parts created using Native Instruments Massive or Spectrasonics Omnisphere have been bounced down to audio tracks within the arrangement page… so you do not need Massive or Omnisphere installed as the bounced audio part will play instead.

Ohm Force has also announced updates to its Mac plug-ins.
Since the release of 64-bit plugins, Mac users have been reporting various issues. Now your favorite VST and AU plugins (work both in 32- and 64-bit applications) are ready to rock again!
Fixes in the update
Loading a plugin and removing it while its GUI was open would make the host crash.
When trying to save presets, all folders in the dialog box would be greyed out, and all attempts at choosing another location blocked.
Contextual menus would appear at the top left of the window, instead of where the right click was done.
The ctrl/cmd + click modifiers on knobs would not work.

Plogue has announced the release of Chipcrusher, an advanced bitcrusher, a speaker simulator and noise machine effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
Chipcrusher features DAC Encoding, Background Noise and Post-Processing.
It’s an audio effect which plays back input audio through a simulation of early lofi digital audio codecs (DAC Encoding), adds grit (Background Noise), and outputs through a selection of speaker and filter impulse responses (Post-Processing).
It can work as a VST/AU/RTAS plug-in for most major sequencing audio programs and supported tracker programs on Windows and OS X.

Audio Damage has announced the release of Mangleverb, a new multi effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
What happens when you combine a thick reverb, a filter, an envelope follower, an LFO, and a VCA? We wanted to know. The results are surprisingly useful. Mangleverb can be used as a filter, reverb, transient shaper, rhythmic gate, LPF gate, tempo-synced VCA, and any combination thereof. It is, for all intents and purposes, a Swiss Army Knife, for both wild sonic destruction and more utilitarian production work.

Sonivox has announced the release of Twist 2.0, the next-generation follow up to the Twist Spectral Morphing Synthesis instrument. Combining a dynamic interface, an advanced pattern generator, and onboard effects, Twist 2.0 provides a complete toolkit for serious sound design using simple, timesaving controls.
Sonically, Twist 2.0 begins with two harmonic layers, each with individual control, which can shape, bend and twist any of the 300 factory presets into something completely unique. These spectral layers also share a robust multi-mode filter, envelope controls, and a modulation LFO that can be sync’d to the beat. New to Twist 2.0 are enhancements in the Pattern Page, where Twist 2.0 really comes to life. Similar in principle to an old-school analog step sequencer, the Pattern Generator goes beyond simple pitch and velocity, and provides the user with precise, measured-step control of up to eight crucial sound creation parameters. Automating even just one or two of these parameters can infuse any sound with aweinspiring depth and motion.
Onboard pro-grade chorus and reverb effects breathe even more life into each sound. In addition, the stereo delay can be synchronized to beat values of the current tempo, tying the sound, song, and effects together. Twist 2.0 uses the SONiVOX Intelligent Rhythm Control (IRC) to adjust incoming MIDI note data, so that any live playing is accurately in-time, in realtime. New programming aides include an intuitive MIDI learn feature, plus an integrated patch browser that can search sounds by genre, color, and character.
