Loopmasters has released Egostereo, the fifth release in the Global Underground Sample Series.

Prodigious talents of the Anglo-Italian duo Egostereo (Sandrino Beesley & Danny Minkella) have emerged in 2009 as one of the hottest groups in progressive/techno with releases on Renaissance, Big Love and Audio Therapy, gaining support from heavyweights such as SASHA, PAUL VAN DYK, TIESTO, DIGWEED, ARMIN VAN BUUREN, DAVE SEAMAN to name a few. Loopmasters has released Riley and Durrant Progressive House Producer Vol. 2, the second installment of Riley and Durrant’s Progressive and Tech House Samples for Loopmasters Artist Series.

Few DJs and producers can claim as much diversity as Nick Riley and Andi Durrant. With influences including Angello, Ingrosso, Laidback Luke and Axwell, Herve, Ferry Corsten, Paolo Mojo, Lutzenkirchen and Dubfire, its no wonder we had to label this samplepack ‘Progressive House Producer’.

Wave Alchemy has recently released another drum sample library, Drum Tools 01.

Drum Tools 01 by Wave Alchemy offers over 1950 exquisitely produced electronic drum samples. All sounds in the collection have been built from the ground up using a jawdropping array of analogue circuitry and exclusive highend outboard gear.

Great care has been taken to capture the tone / vibe and warmth of the equipment used and all sample editing and file naming has been done by hand for maximum precision.

The drum samples in Drum Tools 01 have been created by the creative layering and processing of drum machines, exotic synthesizers / modulars, field recordings and the recording of live drum and percussive instruments.

Ah… just what I need: More creatively layered and processed drum machine, exotic sound sources and field recordings.

Of course I don’t really need another drum sample library… ToneBuilder’s Driven Machine Drums, various Goldbaby Productions titles, and Wave Alchemy’s own Drum Machines 01 already provide me with thousands of high quality samples.

So why Drum Tools 01? The beauty of sample libraries like the ones I just mentioned is that they feature sampled material from a unique combination of analog sound sources processed with high end outboard gear, so Drum Tools still sounds “different” from everything else I already have.

Loopmasters has announced the release of DJ Pierre – Afro Acid House, a sample collection by DJ Pierre.

You probably don’t remember 1987. If you do, then you might have hazy memories of wearing aviator sunglasses, big leather jackets and fingerless gloves.

But away from the mainstream the first seeds of acid house were being sowed by four house music lovers in Chicago: DJ Pierre, Marshall Jefferson, Spanky and Herb Jackson. Together, under their alias Phuture, they created the world’s first acid house record called ‘Acid Tracks’, an 11 minute 17 seconds-long house trip based around a sound that has become synonymous with electronic music ever since, the bassline of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer.

Besides being a crucial DJ and the production wizard partly responsible for the development of Chicago acid-house, DJ Pierre later influenced the sound of New York’s more disco-fied house with his tenure as an in-house producer for Strictly Rhythm Records.

Now Loopmasters have teamed up with the godfather of Acid House himself to bring you a collection of inspiring sounds and samples from the very machines that created the genre which brought the UK and USA closer together through a love of Acid House music.
