Joshua Casper has posted a video tutorial on how to route an external source in Ableton Live to trigger the Dynamic EQ SideChain function in iZotope’s Neutron mixing plugin.
The samples used in the tutorial are from Leon Switch – Deep Dark Dubstep, available from Loopmasters.
First, you will need to have Neutron. I will be using the masking feature to help me figure out where to add the dynamic eq node.
In the video I will be using an instance of the “mothership” and an instance of the EQ module. The EQ module is only available in the Neutron Advanced package, so if you only have the basic set up, just use the mothership instead.
