Sennheiser has announced that it will host a two-day open house and AES workshop to launch AMBEO Music Blueprints at its New York City Pop Up Store in SoHo.
The workshop, for AES members only, will take place Monday, January 23rd from 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., followed by an open house for all sound enthusiasts to attend on Tuesday, January 24th and Wednesday the 25th between 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about AMBEO Music Blueprints, an online learning website tool that provides tutorials and plugins for audio recording using Sennheiser’s AMBEO 3D immersive technology. The website enables users to get initiated with hands-on tips for three types of 3D recording and mixing: AMBEO 3D recording for 9.1 loudspeaker reproduction, AMBEO for binaural 3D playback on standard headphones, and AMBEO 3D Ambisonics audio for VR applications.
In parallel to the AMBEO Music Blueprints launch, the NYC AES Chapter will host an exclusive AMBEO 3D recording workshop. Audio recording experts and part of the Sennheiser development team will give tutorials and listening demos during the sessions, which are suitable for seasoned engineers, aspiring recordists, streaming specialists and beyond.
“Our greatest experiences of music are usually live moments in which we are completely immersed in sound and the situation- whether at a festival, a concert or even a party,” says Véronique Larcher, Director AMBEO Immersive Audio. “With AMBEO Music Blueprints, we are showing how to record and mix music with the same grandeur and natural, spatial sounds as in the original performance.”
