Splice Sounds has launched the Warp-Town Sample Pack, a collection of 221 loops and samples by Canadian producer Bwana.
“This is a fun package covering some of my favorite styles to work with such as: trance, italo-disco, techno and ambient. I’m known as somewhat of a shapeshifter with the styles I work with and this pack reflects that.
The pack includes a lot of very intricate synth and bass loops that I made with pretty advanced arpeggiator patches. It covers a lot of ground from fun trancey high end synth lines to twisted distorted bass. I chose to focus more on the melodic/synthesis side of things for this pack as I think that is what I’m more known for. It is also what I remember struggling the most with when I first got into production. So hopefully some new, aspiring producers can find a lot of value in these sequences! I know I would have. However, users will find ample supply of drums and as mentioned below, FX.
I also wanted to provide a lot of interesting and unique FX samples. I believe these are quite often the glue that holds a track together. If the FX sound cool, the track usually sounds cool too. To go along with that, I’ve also made some very dynamic texture loops. I find things like this very helpful to lie underneath drums to add a synthetic warmth or add that extra sheen to fill the emptiness in a drum track.
There are a total of 215 samples in this pack including loops, one shots, and phrases with the majority being from the ‘tonal’ section(bass, mids/melody, chords). The demo track uses a great deal of these samples and is a nice summary of what can be found inside. I was actually tempted to keep it for myself once I got going! I hope you enjoy.”
