Google has launched a service called Sky that lets you explore the heavens from within Google Earth.
You get a 3D view of all the constellations viewable from earth, and you can explore them in 3D. 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies are included.
Google’s Lior Ron writes:
You can now explore the universe from the comfort of your chair. Zoom in to distant galaxies hundreds of millions of light years away, explore the constellations, see the planets in motion, witness a supernova explosion; it’s like having a giant, virtual telescope at your command — your own personal planetarium!
To use Sky, just download the newest version of Google Earth and click on the new Sky button on the toolbar at the top of the screen.

The Sample Packs on my website are free for anyone to use as they wish. I would appreciate a credit if they’re used on released work, but it’s up to the user. I hope you guys find them handy.
I don’t have a contact on the site because it tends to lead to lots of spam.
:)
Yeah my first instinct was to contact him, but I couldn’t find any contact information on his website.
I think it would be strange for someone for put up a bunch of samples and not expect to hear them show up in songs, but all the readme’s only say what you can’t do with them, not what you can do…
If you have any leads on an email address please let me know.
I believe you can, you could contact him to make sure. Some of the readme.txt files includes things like: The samples remain the property of thecontrolcentre and may not be redistributed or sold without permission.
Other say it’s donationware. The orange drum pack doesn’t mention anything really…
Does anyone know if the packs on his site can be used in songs commercially? Since he’s putting the loops out there, I would assume yes but I want to be sure…
