Spitfire Audio has announced availability of Hammers, hitting hard as a comprehensive collection of drums and percussion instruments for the company’s dedicated plugin with customizations in the mapping of the performances inside the GUI that are unique to the library itself.
Hammers is created in collaboration with Grammy Award-nominated composer, keyboardist, record producer, and remixer Charlie Clouser. It features 1,000 sounds across 58 drums, including detailed hits, ensembles, performance loops, and genre-bending warps recorded in a brutalist space comprising concrete, glass, and steel, allowing for a uniquely sharp attack and controlled reverb.
Informed by Charlie Clouser’s years of experience producing bands like White Zombie and playing keyboards in Nine Inch Nails, as well as composing music for all nine of the Saw films, Resident Evil: Extinction, Wayward Pines, and others, this library offers music makers a wide selection of widescreen drum sounds to fit any production.
Two and a half years in the making, from ideation to execution and completion, with Charlie personally obsessing over every element, from development to recording and processing. Hammers is the ultimate result of a perfect marriage of Charlie’s Brutalist, industrial vision and experience in producing and composing, combined with Spitfire Audio’s comprehensive approach to sampling.
Hammers is available as a VST/VST3, AU and AAX compatible and NKS-ready plugin for Windows and Mac. It has an introductory price of £199 GBP / $229 USD / 229 EUR until August 12th, 2021 (regular £249 GBP / $299 USD / 299 EUR). Prices incl. VAT where applicable. Owners of the Originals Cinematic Percussion library can order Hammers at 30% off the full price during the promotion.
