Bitwig has announced the launch of a beta version of the upcoming update to the Bitwig Studio cross-platform music production software.
Version 4.2 includes various new devices, support for the French language, a Mini view option for the Oscilloscope and Spectrum, an anti-aliasing option for most Grid Shaper modules, and much more.
What sounds good? We got inspired by some classic audio effects units and then made a suite of excellent effects for Bitwig Studio 4.2. Please welcome new choruses, flangers, phasers, and just one more note FX to the family.
The new Chorus+, Flanger+, Phaser+ audio FX devices feature 4 unique Character modes each, and they are also available in as Grid modules. The Note Grid device allows you to build your own note effects. It can sort signals into the 16 MIDI channels, and a new Channel-16 modulator helps you use those groupings on any instrument or plugin.
The changelog has details on what else is new. The Bitwig Studio 4.2 beta is available for download to anyone with an active Bitwig Studio Upgrade Plan. The official release is planned for March, 2022.
