Karoryfer Samples has released its new sample library for the free Plogue Sforzando sampler. Three Tagelharpas comprises 3 replica medieval European bowed lyres.
These are replicas of medieval European bowed lyres, and commonly heard in Viking music today. They have a rather rough sound, and are bowed with a melody note and one or two drones.
The tagelharpa has four gut strings, the strakharpa has four strings of artificial tendon, and the bass tagelharpa has three horsehair strings. Sample recordings performed by Michał Górka and Wit Scheda from Daj Ognia.
