Caelum Audio has announced the release of a free sample pack with chants, drum circle loops, prayer phrases and sustained vowels recorded a the Stonehenge monument on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England.
At around 2 o’clock in the morning on Sunday the 20th of March, we set off to the prehistoric monument Stonehenge. Druids, Pagans and Wiccans come together in this 5000 year old megalithic structure to celebrate the arrival of Spring.
On the Spring (or Vernal) Equinox, the sun rises exactly in the east then passes through sky and sets exactly in the west. All over the world, day and night are of equal length hence the word equinox which means ‘equal night’.
With very chilly hands we recorded the chants, prayers and drum circles within the stones as best we could with many people sharing in this spiritual experience.
