Roland has expanded its award-winning home piano lineup with two new entry-level instruments and a refreshed companion piano app for select models in the series.
The F107 and RP107 bring a new level of performance to the category, offering premium Roland piano sound and keyboard action derived from higher-end models. The new Roland Piano App is the latest mobile device app for Roland pianos with Bluetooth connectivity, combining powerful remote control functions and enhanced learning features with an updated interface for easier operation.
F107 and RP107 Digital Pianos
The affordable F107 and RP107 make an authentic grand piano experience more accessible to everyone, providing exceptional performance in slim, space-saving cabinets that are perfect for contemporary lifestyles. The F107 features a stylish design based on the Roland F701—winner of the 2021 Red Dot Design Award—making it a great fit for young adults and modern living spaces. The RP107 features classic upright styling that’s ideal for families and anyone who prefers a more traditional appearance. Aside from the cabinets, both pianos offer identical features.
The F107 and RP107 deliver authentic sound and expression that’s unavailable in other pianos at this price point, giving players a solid foundation for learning and the range to go further as skills blossom. Roland’s acclaimed SuperNATURAL Piano engine combines sophisticated sampling and modeling technologies that reproduce all the complex nuances of an acoustic grand piano. The 88-note PHA-4 Standard keyboard provides true weighted response, while sustain, soft, and sostenuto pedals are ready to support a variety of advanced pedal techniques.
Built-in Bluetooth audio/MIDI connectivity makes it easy for F107 and RP107 owners to extend their piano experience with a smartphone or tablet. They can wirelessly stream favorite music and educational content through the onboard speaker system and play along, or explore music composition with MIDI music apps like GarageBand and others. USB ports are also available for connecting with computers and flash storage devices.
The F107 and RP107 feature onboard recording that lets players check their progress and share music, plus Twin Piano mode for playing alongside a family member, friend, or teacher. Volume control is just a button press away, and dual headphones jacks allow two people to play quietly at the same time, each with independent sound control.
Roland Piano App
The Roland Piano App for iOS and Android mobile devices is an essential companion for the F107, RP107, and other Roland home pianos, unlocking deep features for extended operation and continuing musical growth. Based on feedback from users of previous Roland apps, the interface has been redesigned for a smoother, more free-flowing experience. Everything is easier to access, with a direct layout and visual feedback that invites players to fully immerse in music and learning.
When paired with a compatible Roland piano via Bluetooth, the Roland Piano App provides remote control of sound selection, metronome settings, recording, and more. The app also includes inspiring lesson features to encourage progress, such as an activity log with goals, flash card games, rhythm exercises, and a One Week Master program for learning different piano pieces. In addition, the app includes scores for the piano’s onboard song library, plus a fun auto-accompaniment feature for playing along with a full-band sound.
The Roland Piano App replaces the previous Piano Every Day app and works with select Roland home piano models that include built-in Bluetooth connectivity.
The Roland F107 and RP107 digital pianos will be available in the U.S. in August for $1,099.99 USD and $1,199.99 YSD, respectively. The new Roland Piano App is free to download and can be accessed via the App store for both iOS and Android mobile devices. And with the Core, Pro, and Ultimate membership levels of Roland Cloud, users can access over 300 additional pieces of sheet music within the app.
