Cherry Audio has announced an update to its Jupiter-4 synthesizer emulation Mercury-4, a plugin that recreates the original’s unusual analog oscillators, powerful dual filters, and overdriveable VCA section.
Cherry Audio went to great lengths to replicate the unique arpeggiator section, heard on tons of classic New Wave tracks, as well as the original’s massive unison modes. The renowned stereo BBD ensemble effect has been beautifully modeled, and Cherry Audio’s other-worldly “Space Echo”-style tape echo with multiple reverb modes is included.
Version 1.50 includes an improved preset browser with single-click favoriting system, and preset-level MIDI mappings are now supported. In addition, users may now import complete preset libraries via zip file with drag-and-drop.
Available for Windows and Mac in VST/vST3, AU and AAX formats, the synth plugin is on sale for $29 USD in celebration of the update (MSRP $59 USD). The version 1.50 update is free to existing registered owners of Mercury-4.
The offer is available at the Cherry Audio store and from distributors Plugin Boutique and ADSR Sounds until August 18th, 2022.
