The North Quarter Sound Vol. 3 by Lenzman delivers a collection of 480MB of loops and one shots, including drums and percussion, synth and bass, keys, pads, field recordings, and more.
A lifelong champion of soulful Drum & Bass, Lenzman’s carefully curated pack dives deep into his studio jams for a spectrum of sound that is blessed with a uniquely human touch that nonetheless has its eyes on the dancefloor.
Primarily recorded and engineered through creative experiments with gear including the Novation Peak and Arturia’s V Collection, Lenzman used various effects and automation settings to conjure his signature vibe. Deep, melancholic chords, warm pads and shuffling drums underpin the ‘NQ3’ collection, while mysterious effects and growling bass notes balance optimism with a hint of darkness.
As such, ‘NQ3’ is carefully calibrated for either peak-time rave pressure or productions on a more easy-listening tip, as reverent to classic, cinematic Photek as it is aligned with new-school liquid DnB producers such as Tim Reaper. With over 480MB of royalty-free samples recorded in studio-quality 44,1Khz, ‘NQ3’ goes deep with one-shots, midi and loops delivered between 170 and 174BPM.
