Cool WAV has announced the release of a free saturation effect plugin for Windows.
Simple Saturation features input and output knobs for controlling the gain before and after the saturation circuit (0 to 10db range, 1db stepped knobs).
The saturation can be set anywhere between 0 and 100%. It gets intense past 85% so make sure lower the output to match the gain. A dry/wet mix lets you blend the dry and saturated signal, and a power button turns the effect on or off.
Simple Saturation is a GPLv3 license open source VST3 plugin for Windows only. I’m unable to export AU/VST3 for MAC at this time, but plan on doing so in the future.
There is no installer, all you have to do is drag and drop it into your VST3 folder. A user Manual is included.
