SampleScience has announced the release of a new instrument library for the free Decent Sampler. Inspired by the sound of 1970s documentaries and movies, 1970s Summer Camp features a collection of 34 lo-fi sounds.
Each sound has been modeled based on what is heard in cult films of this magical epoch. It’s a mix of pastoral sounds typically found in educational movies of the time and esoteric films of the same era.
The virtual instrument is available to purchase for $30 USD. It requires the latest version of Decent Sampler, which is free to download for Windows, Mac and Linux (VST/VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone).
Also available is Canadian Highway, a royalty free sample pack inspired by the lo-fi sound of Boards of Canada, Lone, Milieu, and Tycho.
You get everything from chunky breaks to lo-fi pads, vintage orchestra sounds to mesmerizing chord progressions.
Priced $10 USD, the pack contains a total of 361 samples, including breaks, public domain dialogues, FXs, loop kits, music loops, one-shots, and vinyl crackles.
