Siegfried Kullmann has released version 0.9b of SQ8L, a software model (VST) of Ensoniq’s classic 1980s synth SQ80.
If you’re only going to check one new plug-in this week, I recommend you try this baby (you can use SQ80 presets).
Changes in v0.9b
- New voice management and voice stealing mechanism.
- New shapers for DCA1-4 resulting in smoother and more authentic modulation.
- Enhanced MIDI capabilities.
- Key pressure (polyphonic aftertouch) works now.
- Pitch bend now available as modulation source.
- GUI changes.
- New file format for sound libraries.
- Lots of bug fixed.
Check this readme (txt) file for more details.
